Is there a better way to assess our data?
As someone who works with and in the technology space to identify problems and inefficiencies, I am embarrassed at how infrequently I look at my own own tools and processes. Here’s an example and lingering challenges I have that others might help me solve.
We use JIRA for project management. However, when a project is complete we track the date released on a spreadsheet that has the contract dates. This is how we track our ontime performance percentage.
Is there a better way? Can this be done in JIRA as part of the project management suite? Can we get granular data that can be filtered by client, team member(s), duration etc.? Data is crucial to improving our processes, but manuals entry and duplicate efforts seem like such a waste. Does anyone know of a better way to do this?
