Meet Sheryle Gillihan

Visionary Impact Leader

Empowering Purpose-Driven Leadership and Technology

I got into this work because I believe technology should serve people, not the other way around. After years of working at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and digital tools, I saw how the right solutions could break down barriers and expand capacity. I’ve worn many hats over the years: designer, soldier, executive, business owner, digital strategist, board member, partner, mother, and community builder. Each experience shaped my belief that real change happens when we center on people, listen deeply, embrace creative fun, and build with purpose. Dig into a bit more of my story…

Now I help leaders shift their thinking and explore new pathways to progress.

Sheryle Gillihan Speaker Bio

Sheryle Gillihan is committed to her values and purpose-driven work. She owns and leads CauseLabs, a Texas-based digital agency and Fort Worth’s first certified B Corp and Public Benefit Corporation. Sheryle is a 2022 Great Women of Texas: Woman of Influence, a 40 under 40 honoree, a nonprofit board officer, social enterprise advisor, and speaker on leadership and positive impact.

She uses technology to bridge cultural gaps, tackle local and global challenges, and expand organizational capacity and reach.

Sheryle fuses her hope for a better, brighter future with over 25 years of leadership, operations, and technical management experience. Ranging from military to corporate to nonprofit sectors, her career path led her to CauseLabs, where she brought immense perspective, coordination, and a passion for using business and technology to grow positive impact.

Prior to leading CauseLabs, Sheryle spent a year in the Army as an Arabic translator, seven years as a stay-at-home mom while she was a military dependent, and four years in corporate America. This led her to seek purpose and value meaningful work. In 2010 she joined CauseLabs, a digital agency working to scale organizations and solve problems worth solving. It blended her experience with technology with her passion for giving back. Through her work, she discovered her own poverty story and leaned into her values to do her part to create a better future for everyone.

Sheryle is the author of The World We Know, a book focused on perspective and empathy to foster more harmonious business and personal relationships.

In addition to her role as CauseLabs CEO, Sheryle has served on multiple advisory boards, including United Way of Tarrant County’s KERNEL social innovation program, the Tarrant County College Business Advisory Board, and the EO Fort Worth Board. As part of CauseLabs, she leads Impact Fort Worth, hosts a podcast, is a mentor for several social enterprise programs, and serves a long-time delegate at Opportunity Collaboration, a community of leaders focused on poverty alleviation. She also led a local Girl Scout troop for 13 years.

Sheryle speaks at conferences around the world about purpose-driven, mission-focused business and leadership skills. She facilitates events, panels, and workshops with small businesses, nonprofits, and social enterprises.
